My name is Mark Jackson and I go by the guise of MJDIGITAL. I am an award winning digital consultant to agencies and private clients for online marketing strategy, search engine optimisation and general online development. With a background in IT and system design & build (particularly eHome systems) I moved further into online development where in 2003 I became Head of Digital Media for a Surrey (UK) based design and marketing agency. Since 2003 I have worked on projects for companies such as AMD, Sun Microsystems, GE Capital, Esso, Tefal, Krups, Rowenta, Channel 4, BAE Systems, CHEP, Schoeller/Movenpick, UGS, Alterian, WebEx, UL International, Daikin, Syngenta, Last Minute.com, Vodafone, Vanguard UK, London Business School and many more. I now specialise in online marketing strategy and the delivery of required assets. I have my own extensive client list and consult regularly for various design, marketing and digital agencies. Although my main role is online marketing and development I did my formal training in music. I studied Contemporary Music Production at the Academy of Contemporary Music (ACM), graduated with full distinctions and won “Most Outstanding Student of the Year” (2001) – not blowing my own trumpet too loud I hope! I play guitar, keyboards, bass, drums and sing a bit (if pushed!) plus I am a competent music programmer and sound engineer. I still manage to do a little music when writing and recording soundscapes for B2B or B2C video promos, Chrsitmas eCards and online ads.
